Christmas is around the corner and when I found this baby doll in France I knew I had to buy it for my 3 year old granddaughter. Not long ago her first doll broke apart and now she already put a replacement on her wishlist for Santa Claus.

COOLE STERNE _ SOME COOL STARS
Diese freigeschnittenen Formen haben mir am meisten Spaß gemacht und eignen sich hervorragned zur Verwertung von Resten - I love these free form cuts made from scraps. It is a lot of fun.
- These traditional quilts are a little tricky and more suitable for advanced quilters . from left to right: 1. insert pattern, 2. paperpiecing, 3. I had no pattern and it took me three samples to have all pieces fit .

TEXTILMARKT BENEDIKTBEUREN
This weekend we visited the yearly Textile Market in Benediktbeuren . It has always been a great experience to walk around the old cloister and its courtyards specially when the weather is beautiful.
The Austrian textil artist Ursula Pramer was my favorite. This is the only quilt she brought. All of her pieces were mounted between 2 panels.
'Something very light', the artist successfully created. Even the net is dyed by hand and constructed with the sewing machine. I just loved that installation.

ALTE WOLLE WIE NEU - USED YARN MADE NEW
Last winter I made this top which I really like. However the skirt bothered me. It was too wide and girlish looking. I unraveld this part then wrapped it around a cloth hanger, soaked it in water for a day. When it was dry I started knitting again but this time it looked really AWFULL . Edith Vogel the knitting expert in town (Ludwigstr. 81 who sells this wonderfull hand dyed knitting yarn)gave me some advice I like to share with you.
