DAS KREATIVE SECHSECK - THE CREATIVE HEXAGON

So das ist also mein neues Exemplar für einen workshop. Die Idee dazu hatte mir die amerikanische Kursleiterin Connie Pommering aus St. Charles IL per E-mail geschickt und sie hatte Recht: Es macht Riesenspaß zu sehen, wie der originale Stoffe (Bild darunter)sich so verwandeln kann. Und wenn man genauer hinsieht, findet man versteckte hohle Würfel. Wiviele sind es?....Der Quilt ist noch nicht ganz fertig. Er muß noch gequilted werden.
Voila, this a sampler for my next workshop. A quilting teacher in St. Charles IL, her name is Connie Pommering send me a picture via E-mail that inspired me . She was so wright :I had so much fun changing the fabric to what it is now. If you look closer you can count the numbers of hollow cubes...... How many?......
The quilt isn't ready yet. It needs quilting (by machine)

Der workshop mit nur 2 Teilnehmerinnen hat total viel Spaß gemacht.Hier sieht man das 1. Ergebnis nach 6 stündiger Arbeit. Ich bin gespannt auf das Ergebnis . Da hast du noch Schönes vor dir, Heidrun.

Hier ist Angelikas Versuch. Am Ende des Kurses hatte sie noch doppelt so viel Hexagons fertig, leider nur keine Zeit mehr zum Gestalten.

This is Angelika's first try. By the end of the class she finished twice as many hexagons but didn't have the time to create .

MASKEN VOM STRAND

Hallo, Bloggerfans, ich bin wieder zurück und voll im Einsatz. Bevor ich darauf näher eingehe, möchte ich euch ein paar Fotos zeigen, die ich während meiner Reise gemacht habe. Ich habe ca 4 Wochen in meiner alten Heimat USA verbracht, davon einige Zeit auf Kiawah Island an der Atlantik Küste von South Carolina.

Hello bloggerfans, I am back and ready for action. I like to share some photos with you which I took during my travel. I spent approx. 4 weeks in the US , my home country from 1979 - 2005 and flew down to Kiawah Island , SC for 1 week.

Hier findet man oft am Strand einen 'Horse shoe crab', in deutsch übersetzt 'Hufeisen Krebs'.

You can find horse shoe crabs on Carolina's beaches as often as on Long Island NY.

Meine Freundin Rande lebt auf Long Island NY und hat die Schalen dieser Tiere dort gesammelt und auf kreative Weise in Masken umgewandelt. Ich finde diese Idee herrlich, jede Maske hat etwas besonderes. My friend Rande who lives on Long Island/Manhattan loves to paint. She collected the shells and turned them skillfully into masks. Aren't they wonderfull? What a creative idea.!
